Gate Ministries Blouberg (GMB) was established on June 1, 2014, by Pastor Amos and Charlotte James in Cape Town, South Africa. From its inception, GMB has been driven by a deep sense of purpose: to create a household of faith that thrives on oneness and is grounded in the Agape love of the Heavenly Father. We believe that God’s intention for His church is to be a loving family, united by His love, and committed to fulfilling His divine purposes on Earth.
Our History
At Gate Ministries Blouberg, we seek to build a family of believers who are equipped with the Word of God and empowered to live according to His will. Our mandate is clear: we are called to raise up mature sons of God who represent Him accurately through their lives, reflecting His image and likeness to the world. Our mission is to teach and equip believers to live lives that align with true biblical standards, so that they may become the exact representation of God the Father on the Earth.
We are passionate about ensuring that the authentic Word of God is preached with clarity and understanding. Our goal is to help individuals find their identity in Christ, which is the foundation for spiritual growth and maturity. Through deep, insightful, and meaningful teachings, we aim to bring believers to a place where Christ is fully formed in them, enabling them to walk in the fullness of their calling.
GMB is a place built on relationships. We believe that the strength of the church lies in its unity, and we work hard to create an environment where people can build strong, supportive relationships with one another. Our focus is on modeling the culture of oneness, where we celebrate God’s love for each other, fellowship in His Word, and grow together as the body of Christ. We are committed to becoming the embodiment of God’s presence in the world, reflecting His love and truth in all that we do.

Our aim is to equip believers to mature spiritually, finding their true identity in Christ and growing into the fullness of His purposes for their lives.
We believe that when God’s Word is accurately taught and embraced, it transforms individuals from the inside out, bringing them into greater alignment with His will and preparing them to serve as effective representatives of the Father in the world. Our goal is to see the church become a governing force on the Earth, grounded in sound doctrine and empowered to bring about lasting change in the world around us.
Meet Our Senior Pastors: Amos and Charlotte James
Pastor Amos and Charlotte James are the founders and senior pastors of Gate Ministries Blouberg. They reside in Cape Town. Together, they are
passionate about seeing lives transformed through the power of God’s Word and committed to building a church that reflects the love and truth of the Father.
Pastor Amos has been in full-time ministry since 2000, previously pastoring Lighthouse Tabernacle in Dalton, KwaZulu-Natal, for many years. In 2014, after hearing a clear call from God, Pastor Amos obeyed and moved to Cape Town to pioneer Gate Ministries Blouberg. The word of the Lord to him was simple but profound: “Do not build a church per se, but build a family.”
This divine instruction has been the guiding vision for GMB from the beginning. Pastor Amos has a strong desire to see the church accurately aligned with biblical principles and patterns, becoming a powerful force for good in the world. His focus is on training and mentoring the current generation, aligning them with Apostolic Doctrine, and helping them live out their calling as the true representation of the Father on Earth.
